Please excuse the early note; Don't forget that church is still at 845am & 11am this Sunday 30 June and next Sunday 7 July. I would really love to hear your feedback on how it works to have church at 845am - I've really enjoyed having a extra few minutes to connect; but I would like to know if you haven't been able to make the odd time due to family or work commitments.
We will continue to serve tea and coffee after the service but this Sunday morning there will be bacon and egg rolls after the service. Another excuse to stay for a while and talk to the people you worship with.
I'm sorry to share with you the sad news that Julie Cummins, one of Table View Methodist Church's founding members passed away on Friday evening; we will hold a memorial service for her tomorrow (Wednesday 26 June) at 2pm.
Also please keep Rev Trevor Bosman in your prayers; he had a fall last week and has had to go in for a hip replacement. I hear his condition is improving but he is in ICU.
We are still working on the change over from Telkom to an online telephone line. If you dial the office number you might get a recorded message that says: "The extension 021 557 1143 is not available" then you'll hear a beep... If you record a message after that beep it will be emailed to the secretary and she will get back to you.
We have set up a one-way Whatsapp group for communication. This means that it will not be a group for spam / conversations but a convenient way for us to be able to send a message to the whole congregation at a low cost. You can join the Whatsapp group by following this link on your phone. As with all communication we will try and limit it to once a week.
Rev Trevor Ruthenberg's son is busy with a course through UNISA and has to do a presentation on nature conservation to a small group of people. Please come and join him at 10am this Friday 28 June; I'm sure it will be interesting - and you will be helping a student:
Thank you so much for your generous contributions to the mission of the church as you can see from the graph below we will need your pledges and contributions in order to meet our budget. The blue graph is our budget; the red one shows how much has been pledged; and the rainbow one shows what has come in so far.
