Memorial Garden

Our memorial garden is situated on the eastern side of the administration and Sunday School wing.

Name plaques can be placed on the bricks around the cross.  Together the names of those who have gone before us remind us of the witness cloud of Hebrews 12:1.  The pergola and the vine that will eventually shade the flagstones reminds us of Revelation 7:16 "The sun will not beat down on them, nor any scorching heat..."

The fact that it is a garden reminds us that the Bible begins in a paradise garden and because of Jesus obedience to death on the cross ends with a heavenly paradise.  Remember Jesus' words to the thief on the cross: "Today you will be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:43)

Lastly, our memorial garden is also a playground.  Children will play on the flagstones where the ashes are buried.  A reminder of Jesus' love for children - and also a sign of the life in all its fullness which Jesus promises to his disciples.
